Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

Mary Mary quite contrary,

How does your garden grow?

With silver bells and cockle shells

And pretty maids all in a row.

Greenhouse Gardening

February 4, 2022 ~ First Seed Planting of 2022

These are the Varieties I am planting this year:

Beefsteak tomatoes are large, juicy tomatoes perfect for eating fresh from the harvest. Beefsteaks are typically wide tomatoes, but the more round types have a sweeter flavor

Sweet, Savory, Super-easy. For Salads. Intermediate plants produce clusters of sweet 1 ¼ “ bite-sized fruits. Grows in clusters of about a dozen all over vining (they keep producing all season long) plants. Very uniform in size, shape, and color, they look as good as they taste!

Grows well in Containers! This variety set the world record for size. Huge, crack-resistant fruits, average 1-2 pounds each. Reliably produces fruits with rich, full flavor. Grows well in a 5-gallon container for patio, deck or balcony where space is limited

This variety is more tolerant in hot summer heat. Sets in abundance of flavorful, 7-ounce fruit under hot, humid conditions. Bushy plants with large leaves cover the fruit helping to preventing sunscald

Grows well in Containers!  Vigorous growing plants bear delicious fruit. They require little space, little effort and produce a big crop. . Grows well in a 5-gallon container for patio, deck or balcony where space is limited. Excellent for salads juice, canning and relish.

Parchment-white tomatoes are extra smooth and beautiful. Low-acid Tomato renowned for their sweet, citrus taste that is richer and more complex than many white types. Nnot recommended for canning.

Mid-season, high-yielding Ukrainian Heirloom for open ground and greenhouses.  Magnificent taste, very sweet,  slightly ribbed, bright red tomatoes, weight  (20+oz.). Resistant to all major tomato diseases.

Cluster Tomato. Mid season. Compact, mid-size bush. Round, smooth, red fruits, weight (2-3 oz.). Use fresh and for cooking.

Low-acid Pear-shaped cluster tomato. Mid-season, high-yielding heirloom variety. Smooth, dense, yellow tomatoes, with a very good taste. Use fresh
